The 6.0Ah battery, model BL1860, from Makita combines longer battery life and is a leader in its category in charging time of only 55 minutes, so you spend more time at work and less time on the charger. For added convenience, it also features an onboard LED charge level indicator to monitor the charge level.
The 18V 6.0Ah LXT® battery is only compatible with tools that have Star Protection, indicated by the Star™ Symbol and/or the Yellow Battery Receiver under the tool. There are more than 125 Makita cordless tools with Star Protection and more on the way.
Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries resist self-discharge so they are ready even after long periods of storage. The Makita Rapid Optimal Charger (sold separately) is an intelligent charging system that communicates with the battery during the charging process to monitor current, voltage and temperature. This advanced charging technology helps optimize battery life and delivers faster charging. Additionally, the charger has a built-in fan to cool the battery for faster and more efficient charging even in hot weather conditions.
